MORE INFORMATION ABOUT SPONGE SIZES...
On the price list there is a column “Sponge Block Size”. The sizes in that column is NOT the actual size of the design cut. It is actually the approx size of the “block” of foam that each design utilizes for it’s particular shape. YES, there are some sponges that use the same block size. Two examples are: 1) item 5 & 6 the holly leaf—both of these items use a Small Block (50mm) to create their respective designs; item 5 is a single leaf while item 6 is 3 holly leafs with 3 berries in the middle. The single leaf holly will be larger as the single leaf design takes up most of the area of the sponge block. Item 6 has 3 holly leafs with center berries and while the design uses the same area of the block the overall cut out is approx the same size but since there are 3 leaves with berries the overall leaf size will be much smaller. 2) item 67 & 68 hibiscus (pictured below also)-both of these use a Medium Block to create their respective designs, item 67 is a medium sized hibiscus while item 68 is a large size hibiscus. The Sponge Block sizes are: S-50mm=S and Tiny designs M-77mm=M and L design and some multiples (more than one on a sponge) L-102mm-L and some multiples
Metric = USA Conversion (1 millimeter is equal to 0.03937007874 inches) 50mm=2.1653543307/ 2 11/64 inches 77mm=3.031496063/ 3 1/32 inches 102mm=4.0157480315/ 4 1/64 inches
REMEMBER THE ABOVE SIZES ARE THE APPROX SIZES OF THE SPONGE BLOCK NOT THE ACTUAL SIZE OF THE DESIGN CUT. Hi Large FOR A BETTER UNDERSTANDING BELOW IS THE 5 SIZES OF HIBISCUS WE HAVE AT THIS TIME; NOTE THAT I HAVE MEASURED THE ACTUAL DESIGN SIZE AND IS GIVEN FOR EACH TOO. |

*The sponge manufacturer normally supplies with rounded blanks however occasionally they do send them square. They also trim block close to the design in many cases for our ease of use.
**All sizes measured in above picture is approx, I just used a regular ruler and measured from side to side of each Hibiscus flower.
